Working on lab 6 ecosim scenario:lab cod, ecospace: class
Trying to figure out how to edit habitats
-Go to basemap
-click on the house icon (edit habitats)
-add a few habitats to the list
-click ok or apply

  • when model prompts you if you want to save changes click no

-nothing updates in terms of habitats. I would assume these habitats would update even if you do not want to save the changes (for people just playing around)

Also when I try to edit the habitats again, there are 10 in the editing tab, even though they are not showing up on the panel on the left-hand side. I am having a hard time deleting the habitats too, so I have to close the model and try again.

Habitats (similar to groups, fleets, MPAs, regions, forcing functions, etc) are created via the database. Once such an item is created the database will reload, which will cause changes to be lost. Hence the prompt whether the user wants to save changes.

All habitats will show after aforementioned changes. Fixed after build

Version edit habitats working much better- no issues
