Description (last modified by jeroens) (diff)
I noticed that in the "Model parameters” tab, it says that units should be set to t/km2 and years for Ecosim and Ecospace. I would like to be able to run Ecosim in a model balanced for energy (rather than biomass) density. Does the statement in the “Model parameters” tab imply any technical obstacles to such use? I have tested this by running Ecosim in a model based on different units and found no problems, but I would prefer to know for sure

Replying to jeroens: if it's energy it should be fine. It may result in misleading headings somewhere, but haven't checked for this

- Status changed from new to closed
- Resolution set to fixed
To my best knowledge all units in headers are dynamic, and respond to the Ecopath model settings. If cosmetics are the only problem then we can remove the entire warning.
The time unit warning is also not needed, as long as users know that Ecosim and Ecospace operate on 12 time steps per year by default.
