Changes to Flow Diagram

Description

Is there anyway to prevent Ecopath from automatically placing names/labels of groups outside page margins? There are two groupings in our flow diagrams, found to the far right, that are being cut off whenever we (1) view the figures within the software or (2) save them as a picture (jpeg, giff, tiff). However, this wasn't a problem when we saved the flow diagrams as an enhanced bitmap file (or something like that). Instead, the portion of the name/labels that were being cut off are now being bolded (so the formatting is inconsistent). There seems to be something funny going on when Ecopath trys saving something that it places outside its page margins.

  • Can the page margins be expanded manually?
  • Can the size of the flow diagram be reduced?
  • Can the position of the labels relative to their nodes be altered?
  • Can the font be changed to reduce the extent the labels stretch off the page?

I've looked through the flow diagram settings, general ecopath options, and have searched online but have so far been unsuccessful in finding a way to format my flow diagrams and save the entire diagram in a single picture.

I'm not sure how to solve this problem, so any advice/ideas would be most appreciated. Thanks,

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Version set to 6.5 beta
  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Milestone changed from NOT SET to Ecopath 6: Release 6.5

This issue has been gradually dealt with in the past years. The diagram now saves as a metafile, is stored with a model, etc. There are plenty of desktop drawing tools available that can be used to make the diagram look perfect
