Altering Ecopath Diet Composition does not change the model.

It seems that if you alter data in the diet comp the changes are not used in following computations although the data seems to be in the sheet. It won’t use the new data until you actually close the model down and restart. I don’t think it would use it even if you did a Save model without closing the program but I really can’t be sure about that. This was causing me some serious grief when I wanted to just tweak my model and nothing would change in the runs. Took me a while to work out what was wrong.

I do believe it has to do with the updating problem we found in the workshop. After working with the model for a while, the events are not captured in the core, thus not changing the input variable in the core.

Have tested it again but still the same problem. Opening up model, fist thing to be done was change diet comp, but woudln't use it. Tried to "Save model" -woudlnt use it, "Save model as" a new model , still wouldn't use it. Had to actually close the model down before it would. However other input data seemd to work instantly. PS did you notice that the EE warning always says that the EE of x group is 0.6340....?

Bug confirmed and solved on Nov 27/09. Diet Composition changes did not invalidate the last Ecopath model run.
