Functionality is still not in EwE6.
EwE5 loads specially constructed CSV file in frmRefDat.ReadSpaceRefData, DoWhat="FromSpace"
EwE6 defines the Ecospace TS vars, but code to apply TS to regions is not ported yet

This issue celebrated its sixth anniversary and should be taken care of. With the addition of the Spatial Temporal Data framework to EwE 6.3, Ecospace is now capable of loading spatial/temporal maps at run time. This is more powerful than region-assigned time series.
However, there is still a gap that needs addressing. For instance, users may have limited spatial maps to drive PP, and may want to complement this data by adding an PP anomaly time series to Ecosim; creating anomaly PP maps may be beyond the skills of the average user.

EwE5 contained experimental logic to apply time series to a region. EwE6 does not have this feature
