Description

I think the best improvement for Ecosim would be to include a formal sensitivity analyses. As it is said in the Ecopath user guide Ecosim does not (yet!) include any formal sensitivity analysis. Ecosim includes a Monte Carlo routine, but it is not possible to save the results of each run, only the best solution when the runs includes time series fitting. Probably they are already working to include such formal sensitivity analysis, whatever it means, and it will be very much appreciated, since the first question that people use to ask is How about the paramters uncertainty?

I said I'd contact my PhD student who has been using Ecopath with Ecosim to seem if he had any suggestions for improvement.

He wrote the following:

Best wishes.
