Plug-in update no longer works

Description

With the server overhaul we no longer have space to host a plug-in version archive for every build. The plug-in update functionality never really worked as new versions of plug-ins were never really issued outside EwE releases.

We need a plug-in repository akin to CRAN some day. Hahahaha.

The plug-in update logic has been removed. We'll have to rethink this once we have funding to build the server infrastructure and the CRAN-style plug-in repository
