Description
The current stable release of EwE 6 (6.3.8648.0) does not save the applied best fits from the Monte Carlo simulation.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open model "Georgia Strait".
- Move to "Time dynamic (Ecosim)" and select "all fit" scenario.
- Load the time series "georgiascaleNEW" by clicking on the "Time Series" tree item on the left pane.
- Move to "Monte Carlo simulation" on the left pane.
- Switch to "Settings" tab and deselect "Show biomass trajectories on Ecosim plot" and select "Retain better fitting estimates (use trials to search)" options.
- Click "Run trials" to run the Monte Carlo simulation.
- When the Monte-Carlo simulation ends, click "Apply best fits"
- Move to "Basic Input" section of "Ecopath" to see that the best fit parameters are indeed applied.
- Save the model by clicking "Save changes" button with a disk icon on it.
- Close the model and reopen it to see that the applied parameters from Monte Carlo simulation were not saved and reverted back to its original values on the "Basic Input" in Ecopath.
Expected behaviour:
The applied parameter values from the Monte Carlo simulation should have been saved and retained when closing and reopening the model.

- Status changed from new to assigned
- Type changed from not assessed to assessed
Confirmed. The 'apply' functionality in Monte Carlo did not flag the Ecopath data as dirty. Only dirty data is saved. Applied fits are saved if Ecopath data was already flagged dirty.
Solved in 6.4
