Ecospace Map/Layers Export map will not export to selected directory

Description

The Ecospace Export map data functionality in Edit layer > Data dialogue does not export the data to the user selected directory. As well the file type is .csv but the resulting file in the default directory is .asc. If this does work it takes some magic combination of configuration is the Data tab.

It appears this may not be working at all even exporting to the default .csv file.

The issue occurred when an output path did not yet exist.
