Value chain payment calculations seem wrong

Reported by: villyc Owned by: villyc
Priority: normal Milestone: Ecopath 6: release 6.3
Component: Value Chain Version: 6.3.1
Severity: major Keywords: value chain, pay

Description

The value chain is producing salary numbers that are consistently too high.

"In my version of the VC, XXXXXX, please check the calculations for steel seiners. See the attached spreadsheet. The calculations for catch and revenue are the same as in Ecopath 5 mill t and 798 mill $. Summing up the costs (which are in $/t) gives 256 mill $. The corresponding total cost in the VC is 1046 mill$ for salaries plus input other 360 mill $, so way higher."

Assessed. The chain is not taking the number of people (male and female workers and owners) into account when calculating the payments. As such, the chain is for instance accounting astronomical amounts in payments to 0 female workers. This can't be correct. Checked in, needs validation.
