EwE freezes when network analysis executes

Similar reports have come from other users.

Network Analysis does not crash, but may take a *very* long time to complete if diet matrices are complex with many loops and sub-loops. For some models it may take ENA an hour to complete, in other models this may take several hours.

The application does not crash.

However, two issues need addressing:

• The user interface freezes while ENA is running which needs an option to be interrupted.
• Ecosim invokes the lengthy computations for every time step. This needs addressing.

We should look into using multi-threading and using multiple processors to speed up the calculations

To test the speed gain by just looping over the links we can put a stopwacth in the loops to test time spent in groups that have no pred/prey link
