Description
In the Basic input screen
Creating a model in EwE 5- lab 1
when I enter in the basic input parameters (B, P/B, Q/B) the Usil/ consumpt coefficient automatically gets calculated/ appears. This does not happen in version 6, but I do not fully understand this.
In version 5 when you create a model, the U/Q ratio is assumed to be 0.2 for all consumers. I am not sure if this is intentionally left blank so the user has to fill in the values. Information can be found on page 27 of the version 5 manual.
See Bug 100- also unassimil/ consumption related

GS a.k.a. Unassim needed a defalt value in the database for new groups. The default was 0, and has been changed to 0.2
This change will only appear in models newly imported from the next EwE build on

Basic input-un- assimilation/ Consumption for detritus/ phytoplankton. The cells are not automatically shaded, but once I click in and out of them a few times they become shaded.
These cells appear to be edit-able when I build a model, i.e. they are not shaded. But I cannot edit them, once I click in and out a few times THEN they become shaded/locked. Is there a way to make them locked from the begining- or when you assign them to phytoplankton or detritus.

July 25th- I am still having the same problem where the cells are not automatically shaded, but once I try to edit them, then they become shaded.

This is a tricky one.... When you create groups in a new model, the basic input screen shows shaded cells for detritus and primary producers. BUT as soon as you enter in a value for biomass for either group, the cells become unshaded. Then they will become shaded again if you try to enter in a value.
I was re-creating lab 1 model, but I believe this would be the case with any model

this is a bug Villy was speaking about (point 12 in his googledoc page)
When you import a model this is not an issue, but when you create a model, the U/Q cells for producers and detritus are not shaded until you try to type in them. They should be automatically shaded in this interface.
The way they are structured now...they are locked for editing, but they are not shaded (to indicate they are locked) until you try to enter in a value.
I checked in the manual, and basically these are set to a default of 0.2 for consumers and 0.4 for phytoplankton (I believe) the manual is vague. So you should only have to set these to default values rather than have them calculated- sorry for any confusion
