Fishing policy search> first year for gear type not blocked out

Lab 4 model- just so you know I imported the model from the fish 501 database as to avoid any errors that might occur from creating a model. This model does have multistanza groups.

Scenario- in this case I increased the fishing on cod to 4 times (in mortality sketch pad in output tab) also I chose prevent cost>earnings, set economic value=1, and ecosystem structure=10 (left the others at 0). I made these changes in BOTH versions before running the policy search

When setting every gear (upper left corner) I do not get the first year blacked out as I do in version 5. Does this mean that you could essentially set the first year to something other than your ecopath value. This does not make sense to me.

Hey Joe,
Just testing the policy search again, and was getting some different results. I think the main reason is this blocking of the first year in the policy search. If I manually block it our the results are much more similar to version 5. (I am using version 6.0.3.4)
