Deleted records keep occupying space in an Access database until explicitly deleted. This deletion happens though a "Compact" command, which has been available in EwE for quite a few years but which is rarely used. The large database can prevent EwE from saving at some point, and can also occupy so much memory that the EwE execution is affected with unpredictable results. We need an auto-compact functionality |
